High SEO level in the Netherlands
Barry Adams, juror SEO and founder and SEO consultant of Polemic Digital, is satisfied with how SEO operates in the Netherlands: “The quality of the entries for these first Friends of Search Awards proves that the search industry in the Netherlands performs at a very high level. The entries show excellent work that combines strategic insight with tactical execution on a global level”.

The world of post-automation
Frederick Vallaeys, member of the SEA jury and founder and CEO of Optmyzr, adds: “What I loved about the entries is they show we have a vibrant industry that is successfully transitioning into the post-automation world. Not only are the best cases leveraging Google’s automation, they’ve also figured out how to add their own insights, business data, and a good dose of creativity to push results to a whole new level.”

Jury of international experts
In assessing the entries, the jury looked at how the cases distinguish themselves in clear strategic thinking, innovation, effectiveness, tangible results, clarity and privacy-friendly and responsible data use. The independent jury consists of (inter)national search experts, including not only Adams and Vallaeys but also Brad Geddes (Co founder – AdAlysis), Marcus Tober (Chief Innovation Officer – Searchmetrics) and Kate Adams (Head of Media & Measurement Specialists NL – Google).
